Be An EA Talent Scout
One of the things people complain about frequently regarding FIFA are the stats and general authenticity of the teams. “This shirt colour is wrong”, “He’s too fast”, “Rooney should have the potato headed knob trait” and so on.
Once again EA are offering you the chance to rectify things by putting yourself forward as a Talent Scout. They are currently looking for people with an intense knowledge of their club for the following roles:
Data Reviewers: Rich with football knowledge but time-poor? This is the (voluntary) role for you. We’ll ask you to take a look at the data for the clubs that you know inside out and give us your feedback. If Data Reviewers do well they can be offered a contract and promotion to become Data Editors. It’s a good role to understand the database and get a feel about if you want to try for one of the paid-for position.
Asset Editors: This is a paid, contract position – pass a quick test and you could be creating and changing faces and bodies of players within the game. And you’ll get listed in the game credits too.
Data Editors: A really important role. It’s another contract position and you end up in the credits. Data Editors research and edit teams and players within our massive database, so this covers team formation, style settings, player attributes and much more.
Reference Collector: Collecting and providing reference pictures of kits – the four S’s: Shirts, Socks, Shorts and Sponsors. Another contract role with a call-out in the game credits.
If any of those roles are of interest, head over to the EA Sports Football Talent Scout page to learn more and find out how to apply.

FYI I have tried it for FIFA 09 but EA has a very limited amount of allowed input. They have country overall ratings and team ratings, forcefully under or overrating players.
Not worth it trying to help.

@ Guillherme Cramers
It’s too bad you had a negative experience. I’ve found that you have a LOT of freedom, as long as you don’t do anything too outlandish.
Guilherme Cramer says:
Well, 1st of all thanks for checking a post not from the main article! 2nd, when teams would be capped to several 71-rated players regardless of true talent, so the club would remain at 3-3 1/2 stars and the league a 3 1/2 star league, I just gave up.
I had the big 4 clubs from Rio – Flamengo, Fluminense, Botafogo, and Vasco – to help with research and the feedback and pompousness from the head guy of research made me quickly quit (and then proceed to once again help with Football Manager).
At least you’re having a good experience…
David Bryant says:
@Guilherme Cramer we raised the issue of players being capped due to the team/league they play in last year and were told EA would be making changes to that rigid structure.
Basically to allow each tier to have standout players rather than everyone feeling the same. We also asked for traits to filter down through the lower leagues to again allow certain players to stand out.
Obviously we’ll have to wait and see but it has been fed back :)

I have made the test to be an Asset Editor, but is it the same program they use in the end, to made player faces?? For me its very dissapointing.. They are making Fifa12, not Fifa09.. Very little opportunities, to make the right face, and it almost look like playstation 2, not nextgen, like when they make faces when they do motion capture of the big teams.. there most be a another solution, you can do to make the faces more lifelike, its the same faces, we have seen for fifa in more than 5 years.. come on.. Is that the best ea can do??
Need to be updated, in pes people do the faces in programs, and give them to people who can download them and put it in the game, their faces is much better than fifas random faces.. what about an update for that?? anyone who can answer me for that?? Because im desperat to solve the problem.. There is to many faces who is to random.. and the editor program needs an update..

@David Bryant and Guillherme Cramer
That rule is gone now, and we are very much making an effort to emphasize accuracy in the lower leagues. There’s no rule against traits for lower leagues, it’s all up to whether or not the people editing and reviewing put in the work.
