Czech National Team Licensing Announcement

EA Sports today announced that they’ve secured a licensing agreement with the Czech Republic Football Association. The deal runs for the next four years meaning that the national team including authentic kits  and squads will feature in all relevant titles within that time.

“Having the full national team, in the hugely popular FIFA series, with authentic jerseys and players, is a big win for Czech football fans,” said Miroslav Pelta, President of the Football Association of the Czech Republic. “Seeing the team in the world’s most popular sports videogame in the coming years is something that will definitely build the connection between our team and our fans.”

It’s always nice to see these deals get done, but with our League and Team list post hitting fairly high levels of comments, it’s safe to say that there are still some teams people feel are missing. So who should EA be approaching next?

    Bit of a strange announcement considering that the Euro 2012 game will inevitably have all 16 teams licensed. Talking of which, when will this be announced?!

    Yep I’m hoping for some announcement soon for euro2012 – I guess once Fifa street is released they’ll start to feed info – they don’t want to take away the interest in their latest game!!

    I don’t really think this is the biggest news but i absolutely feel it can only help further develop the amazing game of soccer which is really hitting a stride.

    We have a MASSIVE list of teams people wanted in FIFA from last year so fear not, we and EA know which ones people want most. As long as the licensing side of things can be navigated, hopefully we see more and more of these deals before 13.

    David do you have any infos about the scanned teams?
    I mean do you know if EA will manage to shoot national teams like they did for Germany…???Do they have a schedule concerning visiting teams…????

    Yeah please EA just find a deal with the national portuguese and spanish teams to shoot them during the Euro or just before during their preparation!! This way we will have real face for barca and real madrid!!!
    C’mon dudes!! You earned so much money!! can’t you just spend it to please us!!!
