EA To Ban FIFA11 Cheats?

As well as the latest FIFA11 patch which we revealed over the weekend it seems something else is currently very high on the EA priority list, cheats and glitchers beware. Accompanying the official patch notes on the EA FIFA Forums was this rather blunt paragraph from the EA Football Live Team.

“On top of that, we’re still compiling evidence on glitchers. Yes, there’s a fix coming… but that doesn’t mean carte blanche for cheaters in the meantime. If you’ve done it and you’ve been caught on video, say bye-bye to your EA account. Cell phones capture GREAT quality videos these days.”

So it looks like a potential ban hammer for those flouting EA SPORTS rules and regulations may be imminent, and about time too.

    Great news, though I pretty much stopped playing online with FIFA 10 (or was it 09?). Cheaters and glitchers were one reason, but the other, more important, reason for me was the exploitation of some cheap strategy by nearly everyone I played, whether it was weird formations, hyper pressure, or playing with that one badass gold striker in a two star UT tournament. Some people are experts at ruining the fun for others.

    It’s true, not all the blame is EA’s but they haven’t done enough in the past to preserve the integrity of their game. Glad to see they’re finally interested in taking some steps to prevent the worst offenses. More please.

    They need to tone down the effectiveness of aids, it’s annoying playing as a 3 1/2 star team and some person spams the shot button until their star forward actually gets the ball to his feet and nails one in from a ridiculous angle, at a ridiculous speed.

    Hope the “glitches” include micro-pausing. I can’t help but feel cheated when it happens.

    well every FIFA has been glithes since the start
    FIFA 10 had the finesse exploit
    Fifa world cup 2010 had the exact same problem (but better goalies)
    whilst FIFA 11 is the most worst game
    stating numbers instead of stars for OM skill move players, 2 sets of music playing at the same time, camera differculties (stays in same spot) and most of all, my cousin dont have any of the players named correctly (which i find baffling since you cant rename the real football players, let alone every team on the game)

    this is all PS3, which it cant be a disc being scratched.

    This is way way to late, All the hackers have made there coins and 10star teams.
    Maybe FIFA should fix the problem before they release UT!
    We have to waste MS points on getting packs where they just sit around play with glitches.
