If you’re still playing FIFA 11 online, or you have fond memories of it, it’s time to start putting some hours in, as on the 11th of January 2013 EA will be turning the online servers for FIFA 11 off for good.
Games get turned off when their users hits less than 1% of EAs overall online users. Which in this case includes the 360, Wii, PC and PS3 versions of FIFA 11, plus FIFA Manager 11 on PC which will shut on January 3rd.
The decisions to retire older EA games are never easy. The development teams and operational staff pour their hearts into these games almost as much as the customers playing them and it is hard to see one retired.
Naturally FIFA 11 Ultimate Team will also be turned off. You can read the full closure list on EA.com.
