    Let,s talk a bit about Lansare Yeboah! (at 0:26 min.)

    1. His Form says 5.7, but the Total AVG. says 6.00?

    2. He have played 33 league matches and only recieved 1 yellow card? He is a Center Back!

    3. His overall is 55 but he only had +1 after playing 39 matches in the season so far – and Yeboah is just 17 years old.

    I don’t know if it’s suppose to be like that – but it seems kind of odd to me…

    @Joe
    Yeah, you can change the defending back to legacy for offline modes.

    @Benjamin

    This worries me too..

  4. kenneth says:

    nice to see the standing tackle and sliding tackle are in, in fifa12 because in the demo you cant see that! :) this look nice with academy.. missed last year..

    @Benjamin

    1. 5,7 is the form and 6,0 seemed to be the average of his marks.

    2. Its really a bit strange but maybe he was always substituted in the last minutes.

    3. Like i said (substitution) or you dont know in what intervals the player rating grows. Maybe +1 is for the last month or week, maybe he started the season with 48?

    @joe.
    in game settings you can have tactical d, or u can switch it back to legacy d. legacy is just the fifa 11 pressure system untouched.

    His lack of stats are probably due to the fact that he is low ranking. He may not start much or at all due to this so his cards, rating, so on wont be a high number.

    The 5.7 is his form probably over the last month, so if he played in 3 games that month and he had a 6 one game and 5′s the other two or something it would average to be 5.7

    You guys have to remember that these videos are made with earlier versions of code and are often cobbled together with specific builds that are one-offs just for the video. It’s not the final game. There is absolutely no reason to believe that all players are 158 cm, or that the images you saw of stats and OVR improvements are finalized. The point of the video is to give you an idea of what the feature is going to be like in broad strokes, not the tiniest details.

    I worked for EA at EA Chicago before it was closed and putting these videos together was always one of those “grit your teeth and do it” kinds of things because making one takes precious time away from actually getting the game done for everyone involved, but everyone recognizes that they are extremely important for marketing and PR. It explains, though, why if you go frame-by-frame, you’ll find inconsistencies or things that are obviously wrong, even though those things should be fixed by the time the game actually ships.

    You also have to realize that games *have* to be done by about 6-8 weeks before their release date (to go into pure bug-squashing mode, then get through certification and then still have enough time to make the discs), and these videos get done even earlier than that, then released on a schedule, so we’re talking about code that’s not the final, polished feature by any stretch of the imagination.

  12. kenneth says:

    i really really hope the young talents gets higher in the game and not 1.58 or something.. but its an early code som cross my finger..

  13. Andy says:

    I’m glad saladyears explained that. I wasn’t even worried, but it was still interesting to read. Thanks!

    The youth players aren’t gonna be hotshots from day one like in FIFA 09. U do have to get familiar with the scout system over all to be able to spot a future star.the thing that may help when looking at some of the 14 year olds is the overall minimum and the player potential minimum. If the number is pretty high to start compared with the average of most youths then he will likely be solid to great.
