FIFA 12 E3 2011 Trailer
Just picked this one up hot off the press from Twitter and it’s the exclusive FIFA 12 E3 2011 Trailer showing off the trinity of new gameplay features. Not bad for a Friday morning, what do you think?
I really dont know what to say about this trailer. The gameplay changes are promising but I really hope what I just saw isnt their only selling point in this years outing.Game menus I couldnt give a sh*t about,I want drastic improvements in all areas, not just a few here and there. As always gameplay is most important but graphics defo needs looking at as its falling way short Again.
Im not going to fully bash EA before I get a good review or hands on myself but cmon guys, get your finger out.It looks the same game every sodding year with 1 or 2 tweaks (I realise its football and you cant change the foundation but jees),not good enough.

The impact engine has me excited. Now I hope that they fix the manager mode so young players actually grow in between seasons and veteran players retire at reasonable ages, like 30-40, not 40+
And I hope that the tactical defending actually works

Got to say I’m not impressed. Gonna be another year of over hype with a poor game at the end of it. I’m losing interest in the fakeness of it all. The truth is they can do so much better and until I see that I’m saying bye bye fifa. So much else to do than get sucked into this crap, it’s getting boring.

Omg Fifa.
It’s fun to score goals not learn to defend against them…
FIFA’s gameplay is already relistic with these features. Nothing more is needed (except the AI, that I haven’t still seen). But the Career mode, specificly the Player one, needs a lot of improvements, like start in the streets (awesome in Wii), press interaction, a better camera (like the PES “Player” camera, that don’t shake and has the same zoom during the full match), don’t select the team to play, but the country, camera from bench when in reserve, warming up and a lot more.
The trailer doesn’t talk about the celebration system, that needs one improvement:
We should run out of the field. Like, go to the bench “hug” the substitutes, or go to the crowd (should be nice to “hug” the fans).
But good work of EA. Now they need to focus on the game modes, because the gameplay is almost perfect.

At least they put actual gameplay in there, unlike the last couple of years where the trailers were all computer generated.

Wow, precision dribbling looks so unnatural. I was so excited by all the things I had read over the past few weeks but, wow I have to say that I’m a bit disappointed. The hole animation where Benzema makes the little touches looked so fake, I really hope they add more conviction to the animation. It looks as if he just has his leg out and hes not in the right body position to make those touches at all. The whole animation where Lisandro Lopez uses precision dribbling and passes the ball, seems just so fake. They need to make the players feel like human beings in the way that they move. Fifa 12 should’ve been about humanizing the players, and the only right step in that direction for me has been the impact engine. On a side note the lighting looks amazing, but how long has the community been asking for Dynamic weather and lighting. Plus I am sick of the Graphics engine FIFA is currently using, its time to get rid of the waxy feel of the game.

I never thought, in my 5 years being a FIFA fan, that I would say that I’m not impressed. FIFA needs graphics improvements. Fast. I mean, this is all great, this precision dribbling and tactical defending, but as every FIFA, it eventually turns against you, then every “beautiful” improvement becomes your burden, such as “Pro-Passing” which got me excited as fuck and turned out to be one of the worst “improvements” I’ve experienced. I really hope this video shows 50% of the improvements.
