FIFA 12 Gets Massive FUT Update

Not to be outdone by the imminent release of FIFA Street, FIFA 12 has flown back in to the news as a huge update for Ultimate Team and EASFC is due to be released tomorrow on Xbox 360 and the day after on PS3.

The full patch notes can be found here, but a rundown of the most important updates are below.

  • To better keep you protected, you can now only send trade offers to friends.
  • A new trade notifications system will be deployed.
  • A new design will be released for the Trade Feed
  • You’ll now find a new Squad Wizard to help build and/or fill out your squad quickly.
  • Introduced the ability to copy a squad to create variations more easily.
  • The chemistry links between players will now be more obvious, with a bad connection coloured red, mediocre coloured orange, and good remaining green.
  • We have fixed the end-of-game disconnection error affecting some PS3 and PC users.
  • A recently discovered bug that allowed an Ultimate Team player to gain control of another player’s team has been fixed.

Security improved, PS3 disconnects sorted, could you have asked for more? The proof as always is in the pudding but we can’t wait for this to be released, it’s going to be a very good week for FIFA indeed.

    What a surprise. FUT gets an update, but nothing to improve the actual game. Almost as disappointing as FIFA street.

    I have been affected by the FUT disconnect since launch, but did manage to play a couple of games at a friend’s a while back, so will I still receive this “compensation pack”?

    PS3 disconnects sorted HA hahahahaha..ok in all seriousness an update was needed.Still needed is different kits/grounds for different squads and maybe give the user the ability once match has finished to not have to sit through the entire end match sequence won or lost,gets tedious sitting there waiting cos someone left the room or wants to hammer home that they won the game,just let us get on with it.

    What about the constant freezing, were you have to power down by the power button on PS3, which results in you having to sort out the files(again) every time?
    What about the instability in clubs on ps3?
    I could go on and on about this, but whats the point. The cash cow has been fixed, and other modes ignored.

    What About MANUAL option for the FUT? Why don’t EA make this easy improvement.. As a manual player I wanna play against manual players only.. But Ea doesnt permit… WHY????

    To me these are the two BIG updates, the last one was freaking me out, I was always losing player contracts because of this bug, everyone was doing this just to win money, now it’s gone :)

    Anybody having problems with pro clubs? I get the “Game session is no longer available” message before every match IN Pro Clubs, and my mates can go without me. Tried everything, being any, host… Everything f*cked up after applying the latest update. HELP!

    what about sorting the career mode bugs out, like it wont let you progress past the season 2020/21, and the youth acadamy causes crashs. FUT gets everything now and EA are forgetting there loyal CM die hards. It feels like cause there making money of UT there not sorting out improvments for CM. If they continue to neglect CM ill seariously consider PES.

    Yeah, the biggest problem for me is what Tyrell mentioned above. Sitting to watch replays while someone else doesn’t press X. Why do we have to wait for each other to get to the Match Stats screen post-game. So annoying!!! I thought it was just me, but I’m glad to see it happens to others, not because I’m sadistic, just so that EA will hopefuly do something about it.

    Also, weren’t they going to modify the FUT search options so that you could look for a manager of a certain nationality? This hasn’t changed. :(

    Every single time when i play online i am away team.thats beacuse i have slow connection(i think).i want different away/home team system to the online play!!!!
