  3. mfmaxpower says:

Great job Eurogamer – I think they’re the only ones I’ve seen to not over-hype the game.

News of the world? comee onnnnnn

  5. David Bryant says:

@mfmaxpower agree, the Eurogamer preview was really good and I’m glad one of the large gaming press sites has stepped up and criticised parts of the game. We always think there’s something wrong with us lol

  6. Keloo says:

All I can say after reading the eurogamer preview, is that this years fifa sounds interesting and I’m eager to play it, I’m excited to see the new impact engine and precision dribbling in action. At least it’s an improvement over last years fifa on PC, so I don’t think I will be disappointed by this years fifa.

    Looking forward for more news.

I really want to read a proper feedback/preview that goes into extensive details of why some things are looking good and others bad. I dislike comments like “CM has this and that and while it’s not deep it’s improved” and just leaves it at that. What’s not so deep? Why is X good? Why not talk about possible shortcomings?

    Gosh I miss impartiality.

ps: From the articles linked here so far.

  9. suny 21 says:

What about the assisted/semi/manual setting? Is assisted removed?

  10. David Bryant says:

@Guilherme fear not, we have not one but two in depth Career Mode articles coming your way detailing exactly what you asked for above.

Watch the site closely on Friday :)

  11. Guilherme Cramer says:

Cheers DB! Suny21 brings up an awesome point too, please remember his post :P.

I just recently got back to WC 2010 and oh it’s such a joy, being able to do 1-touch passing with all manual controls with proper weight and power to passes is great, as are little details like somewhat 3D grass with studs not showing (which happens in 11 but likely not in 12) and so on.

When in Fifa in career mode for ex., will we see, where you can make your own manager, give him clothing, appearance, hairstyle and so on. And see him on the pitch like in the WC 2010. hope fifa gets more visually in career mode and in everything, in transfers, training, and press conferences before and after a match with coaches and players, and when they buy new players, so we can see players be presented in the Club with fans journalists, television camera as in reality, and not only in text, it doesn’t give the same feeling like when its visually. Fifa needs to do more work on that and the graphic and not only the gameplay. Fifa have the last couple of years almost only focused on the gameplay, and today its very good, but all the other things in the game, all the football outside the pitch, cant match the quality of the game on the pitch and that is very sad. I hope it will come soon, in the near future of fifa.

  13. Lee says:

Fifa need to start taking hints from Nba 2k11 they had the press conferences and training you had to work your way thru d league and a summer camp. Fifa should give you the option to start career mode as a rookie soccer player playing as a teen and working your way to playing with the big clubs. After a big match you see text msgs from other players asking if you want to go to niteclubs or having a coach ask u to do a specific thing during training such as working on headers trying to score a header goal. gaining extra points if you do score a header goal during training. Hitting the headlines for getting drunk out in town losing a point or two for your next soccer match in awareness haha have presentations for awards and see you recieving them not just seeing the trophy on the screen. should be a highligh reel of the best goals scored in the season that would be nice
