FIFA 12 Passes 10 Million Sales

It’s been a record breaking year for FIFA 12, becoming the best selling sports title ever in the UK and becoming the third biggest UK game launch of all time. Yet another milestone has been passed today as FIFA 12 marched through the 10 million sales barrier.

The information was taken from a financial call yesterday in which EA also announced that Battlefield 3 had breached the 10 million sales barrier too. So, they have plenty to be pleased about at EA towers right now and with a bumper February/March which will see the release of Mass Effect 3, SSX, Kings of Amalur, Syndicate, Grand Slam Tennis and our beloved FIFA Street, they should remain happy well in to the summer.

Oh and FIFA 12 also found itself top of the UK Chart once again for a fifth consecutive week…

    Good news…

    Now that they are making SO much money, will they input more money into the game, or just pocket it themselves? You guys are now doing BACK TO THE FIFA, which is an amazing idea, but will EA take your opinions and our opinions seriously? They are big in community feedback, at least they say so. So I was curious if you guys had a contact at EA that knows you will be sending a bunch of our comments from BACK TO THE FIFA to their offices? I hope so, but if you guys could answer me on here, it would be great. Cheers.

    @Matt yes that’s exactly what’s happening. once we’ve got through all of the posts we’ll be collating everything and sending it over. They’re well aware it’s coming.

    i really dont care how much sales a game has.. i care about how the game is.. and fifa 12 is just like the fifa series before…

    I do not know, ok they collect our feedbacks, but I do not think they realy take them into account.
    I think they just follow the technological progress they made every year, Impact Engine this year for exemple, and not enough focus on the core gameplay, the homogenous way the teams are playing, personnality+ for teams… It is just EA creating a new tech and sharing with all differents sport games…and yeah for minors things they take our feedbacks into account…But I guess I am pessmist today!!

    So fifa 12 sold 10 million copies. 2% of which can bot play fut because it kicks them out. 4 months on and no fix and no feedback. That is £8 million of game sales for a faulty product. Can you talk to your contacts for an update.

    they dont even deserve it. most of the sales for fifa like call of duty are from children asking their mums to buy it. fifa is one of those games that advertises it like its amazing, then kids fall into the hype and then a greedy company like EA get money they dont even deserve. i cant believe the world works like this

    you would think that considering EA make this money, they would actually bother improving the main aspects of the game (AI, career mode etc) rather than releasing the same game with gimmicks like COD

    How do you know that most of the fifa players ar echildren ? Got any actual proof ?

    And if you don’t like it, and think is “broken” that means everyone thinks the same as you ? I get you are frustrated, but your problems don’t apply to everyone.

    And what ? You weren’t a child once that wanted to play video games ? Geez how can some be so selfish an arrogant.
