FIFA 12: Patch Details
The first proper FIFA 12 patch is now live. PS3 users will have already been prompted to download it and it’ll be live on Xbox 360 by the time you read this.
Details of the issues addressed are below:
- Goalkeeper control in online matches: Based on community feedback and data analysis, the option to press select/back and have the CPU control your team online has been removed. The function will still be available offline.
- Fixed a situation that would see the user in an empty FUT Store without button functionality.
- Fixed a FUT crash when using custom tactics.
- Fixed a hard lock that would occur when applying a Manager Contract after purchasing a Bronze Premium Pack in FUT.
- Fixed a situation that would see some users being disconnected from FUT after five seconds of connectivity.
- We have optimized the FUT server to speed up transactions.
- Fixed a situation where the game would hang when downloading a Game Face.
- Fixed a situation that would allow an online team to be controlled by other player.
I’m sure everyone will be pleased with the news that the goalkeeper control exploit has been addressed, as well some important FUT fixes, and pretty swiftly at that. Good start I’d say, but if there’s something bothering you that hasn’t been addressed, add them to the bug thread.

@Rizla: what do you know about tactical defending??? by pressing and staying just on the x button, wtf I want the gameplay feeling back of fifa 11!!! there is not everything bad on fifa 12 graphics nice the shoots nice and very realistic but needs to much time until shooting. goalkeeper much stronger what I personal like. Why ea must to change to many things when the feedback of fifa11 was very good? I think sometimes ea listens to the wrong persons for improoving theirs gameplay and many other stuff.

Reverse fixture references the last time the two teams met, so you can comment about how you feel about the previous loss/draw/win.
Just to add to that, it’s cool to be able to make these comments but all the messages are virtually the same. I’m sick of praising “good guys” and criticizing “ill tempered” players. When I make these comments I usually am not thinking about their disciplinary records, especially because the cpu rarely fouls. I think I’ve only seen one red card in 2 seasons. But I digress….

I just have experimented a bug… i had won the Advanced Cup on FUT, and that was an error when i came back to the menus.. the game freezed… i hope have won the 1900 coins.

You know what I think, I think I’m tired of hearing people asking for a game to be more realistic and when they get that wish they bitch and complain about how its to hard no. The sport is hard in real life folks!! That’s why games are played to draws and won by few goals most times. So shut up, buckle down and get used to what you asked for!!! I can tell you that I have learned it and when I score a goal in a tight game in the last 10 minutes, I cheer as if I was really there. Thank you for that experience E.A.
Oh and you all you FUT people, either get a better internet or go play PES because year after year after year you people come back with more and more complaints. It’s pathetic and you are taking all the time they are spending on the patches just so you can bitch about something else.

So Man United play Man City this weekend at Old Trafford. The reverse fixture will be when Man City host United at the Etihad towards the end of the season.

No Career Mode fixes, fuckin great. It’s almost unplayable because you never know when it’s gonna fuck you up.. There is a mode about team management and you can’t do custom formations, Great!

@Cazaderon. You can create formations but it leads to the CM crashing after a while. Meaning you have to start from scratch again. Very annoying and should have been the FIRST thing to be fixed

Typical fucking ea. Tell us Fifa 12 career mode is “fixed”, we buy it, it is broken and always crashes. Ea laughs all the way to the bank. I have bought every fifa since 06 but I will never buy one again, ea are lying scum.

My FIFA 12 keeps freezing on PS3, anyone know what is going on? It’s not the console as other games work perfectly fine.
This happened with FIFA 11 as well.

Since Update My PS freezing when going into clubs. This only happends on my profile, not on another thats saved on my ps. can i save my corrupted VP.
