FIFA 13 Career Mode – Europe 1st Season

That’s right folks in FIFA 13′s Career Mode your club can now take part in 1st season European football.

This is the bit EA asked us to hold back due to a few niggling issues but now we can tell you exactly how it works…

  • In the Career Mode setup menu you can now select “Europe 1st Season”
  • This takes you through to the cup draw which at first is populated with random teams.
  • You then get the option to draw again from “seeded teams” which will give you a tournament setup closer to the real deal.
  • After that you can also manually swap teams with others from the same league if you wish.

It may sound like a small thing but for Career Modes realism and that all important first impression it’s a massive hurdle that EA have managed to overcome this year and one which the community have asked for since the mode was re-launched with FIFA 10. It’s also important to note that Career Mode’s European football is not licensed officially.

    @Placebo: We want that slider setting of yours! Haha!

    I’m sick of losing at Wolves and Wigan after 28 matches, and both teams only won 1 or 2 matches so far in the PL.
    Then they kill my Liverpool team 3-0 and plays like Barca! WTF! Haha! So frustrating…

    Assuming it worked you can click my name in this reply to be taken to my sliders as posted on Evo-Web.

    Legendary, slow, 10 minute halves, all manual, but of course you can tweak all that to your preference, just use them as a base and work from there :)

    @Benjamin I feel your pain, that’s exactly how CM used to always be, it would use some kind of underdog logic so it’s always easier playing the top teams than the bottom teams! With these sliders you find that they utilise the stats more of players, especially in terms of passing/ball control/shooting so lesser players in particular suffer and thus lesser teams are appropriately easier to beat than better teams.

    During your time with the game did you happen to notice if EA have stepped up real player faces because fifa12 some of them were appalling for example Valencia,neymar etc…

    THis is pretty cool actually. The only bummer is that I always start in MLS so I have never really noticed the problem before. I just hope they have concacaf champions league so that the is a bit more to play for in MLS. I know it’s possibl cause it’s on the FIFA 12 Ipod version.
