FIFA 13 – No Camp Nou

As some of you have mentioned in the comments, it has been confirmed that the Camp Nou will not be featuring in FIFA 13.

Spotted in an Airjapes video from the YouTube event, someone posted this image to facebook, prompting Romily Broad to reply.

“Yeah, unfortunately we couldn’t get a license for Camp Nou this time out,”

So that just leaves the question of why we put it in our stadium list?

Because it was in the preview build that we pulled the list from, we can only assume that when that code was pressed the license issue was ongoing and EA were hoping to retain it. As it turns out they haven’t and it’s being pulled from the game.

So apologies for getting it wrong. Blame Dave. He wrote the list.

    Apparently because Pes got the license for Nou Camp this year,but it’s weird how both games have Old Trafford and Bernabeu,anyway for me it won’t be a big loss,the nou camp pitch is so big and the stadium is huge,most of the time you’ll forget that it’s not there:P

    This is bullshit offcourse Camp Nou is “in the game”.
    Go to the official FIFA 13 website click on the first video u see. What stadium do u see?
    If Camp Nou is not “in the game” I am sueing their ass because making misleading advertisements is illegal in my country (and it proubably is to in your country).
    These are just false rumours.

    very disapointing, best team in the world, best stadium in europe and its not in the game, gonna miss it, not impressed..

    Well FIFA block all the licences for Pro Evo so maybe it’s pay back! How can you have Messi on the cover but no Camp Nou? Embarrassing

    Isn’t it possible some tech heads could transfer the stadium file from Fifa 12 as it uses the same game/graphics engines as Fifa 13?

    I guess this would be harder to do for the PS3, but how about the 360?

    To get around this problem in the future, maybe EA could add an “Import stadium” feature so you can import stadiums from earlier Fifa’s providing:

    a) You have the Fifa disc.
    b) The Fifa version uses the same engine as the current Fifa.

    EDIT TEAM – STADIUMS.. select a stadium you can change name

    It’s about license for the use of it in the game, if you could download it from a former FIFA like you say it would be a crime since there are no license for the arena.

    If you play on the pro camera, it’s all about the stadium.
