FIFA 13 Sells 4.5 Million Copies In 5 Days

That’s across all platforms of course making FIFA 13 the biggest game launch of 2012 so far and number one in the charts in over 40 countries.

We knew FIFA 13 had got off to a flying start after increasing it’s day one US sales by 42% and then selling 1 million copies in the UK in a single day but this is quite astonishing performance in just 5 days of trading. That’s not the only place that records are being broken though…

You guys are also playing FIFA 13 in record numbers too. September 30th 2012 was the busiest day for online gaming for a single title in EA history.  An astounding 800,000 people played FIFA 13 simultaneously and more than 66 million online game sessions have already been played on FIFA 13, representing a staggering 600 million minutes of online play. Wow.

Lets hope some of the issues reported by the community get sorted sharpish eh?

    Aha that’s good news thanks, sorry my reply seemed a little overly blunt, hadn’t meant to come across accusatory, I know you and Tom are doing phenomenal work covering the Fifa side of things on here and I cannot applaud you enough for what you’re both doing on here, I’d even tell you so in the forums if I weren’t still banned!

    Haha! I didn’t take it in any way to be bad. It needs to be dealt with by EA badly. That said I haven’t had a freeze/blip myself at all…. :s

    The broken career mode is absolutely pathetic! I feel so cheated by EA. So many ppl are furious.

    How can they not thoroughly test the mode before release. They makes millions upon millions an they cant get someone to extensively play through it.

    The figures are great, but continue to rip ppl off with unfinished products an they wont continue to grow.

    I’d love there to be a patch that fixes all the Pro Clubs bugs.

    * The fact accomplishments don’t save when someone quits
    * Accomplishments don’t always save when there are no quits.
    * The ANY/GK filter doesn’t work. This one is an insult as it was basically a new feature in the mode and it doesn’t even work correctly
    * Changing your pro’s position resets your physical attributes and you have to jump out and jump back in again to see the proper stats listed
    * You can earn accomplishments by playing friendlies against other clubs
    * No real indication of whether or not your AI controlled ANY players are improving at all. I’ve read they level up after every division you go up but 5 divisions so far and they feel exactly the same as the beginning
