FIFA 13 Wii U Features Coming To SmartGlass?

Well it certainly looks that way, as Line Producer David Rutter confirmed that EA are “talking about” the potential for Xbox SmartGlass implementation in FIFA at the studio.

If you’re unfamiliar with the Wii U’s FIFA 13 tablet features then you can check out our full preview and it’s fair to say that we were rather impressed with Nintendo’s new hardware when we went hands-on with it. Here’s the full extract from Mr Rutter.

“Sure. It’s something that we’ve been talking about in the studio, and indeed when you… I don’t know if you’ve had an opportunity to see the Wii U version that we announced a little while ago, that’s got some amazing features in it that would be equally at home on SmartGlass”

    This would make sence. The touchpad functionality in fifa Wii U does not require almost zero latency. Features where a litle latency is a big deal, I doubt could be ported to smartglass.

    Smartglass doesn’t make much sense for me. Why do I need a second screen, it’s no use to me when I’m in gameplay, and when I’m not …………?

    The Wii U stuff looks totally contrived from what I’ve read. Cool on paper but utterly useless in reality.

    although there is only 1 nike boot in the creation center… does this mean pes has got the nike boot license too ?? its getting creepy
