Some of the world’s biggest FIFA YouTube stars have gathered in Guildford this week to play FIFA 13 and they’ll be capturing the results which means more gameplay action for us.

    What people dont realise when i say defence AI is still crap…im not talking about your/my own defending im talking about the AI controlled players position. It’s really poor resulting in far too many 1v1′s which has plagued Fifa for years now.

    Most of the videos have been human vs human, not vs CPU, not to mention I’ve seen only one video against legendary. So being such a drama queen that “omfg there are too many 1vs1 chances the defence is crap” after seeing some videos made by the same people and not even playing the game yourself is stupid.

    That’s why I hate these kind of comments, because are coming from people who haven’t even played one match against the AI, on different difficulty levels.

    It’s so easy to judge a game after seeing some dudes play, especially a game like FIFA or PES, where you are in controll of the players.

    I’ve had a read through and I appreciate everyone’s concerns with these vids. But it’s important to remember that the YouTube guys cater to a certain FIFA community, of which you might not find too many members on FSB.

    We’re going through quite a lot of change behind the scenes at FSB right now with the new site design and many other things and having had a chat with Tom we’re going to start taking control of gameplay vids very soon, so that we can play early FIFA the way you guys want to see it.

    If you play human vs. human on Amateur, defending teammates won’t be as good as when playing that on World Class or Legendary.

    Now look at the Barca vs. PSG video by Calfreezy, that’s human vs. human. If you pause at 1:25 you’ll notice it says Amateur. This is the only video so far that’s human vs. human AND showed us the pre-match lobby. I won’t be surprised if the rest of the HvH videos are also on Amateur. That would explain the obvious poor defending by A.I. teammates.

    Dave, Tom… Do you know if any of the guys at the FIFA13 Event use Manual control? I want to know how the first touch control feels like using Manual control… I guess I’ll figure it out myself in 2 days.

    I am so hopeful for FIFA this year. one thing that concerns me at min is the defending against skill moves. a well executed skill move should make the defender ‘bite.’ once the defender is off balance and out of position the attacker can move past them. in many of the vids, when someone does a skill move (especially the flicks), the ball drops well within the defenders reach but they never even move towards the ball. they actually virtually stand still! is this to do with skill level?

    Some good vids in there. Looks to me the game moves alot more smoother now. Really appreciated the Fifaralle vid cause it showed you the moves in slow motion. I think EA can take a page or two out of this for their new gameplay feature trailers. Other good one was the French video, it seemed like that guy was playing the game in a more balanced way.

    In the Man Utd. – Man City match I think the two users were using fully assisted controls because in the Man Utd goal the one two looked very automatic and assisted plus it looked they they were playing in amateur or semi pro. Lets also remember that playing defence this year poses a different challenge with the first touch so defenders can’t control the ball like Messi.

    Would be good to see gameplay videos featuring two lower ranked teams to see how the first-touch factor plays out amongst low rated players with poorer first touch. I don’t think a match between Barcelona and PSG is the best case scenario to study the first touch feature. Maybe a match between two division two sides would be better.
