Final FIFA Manager 12 Database Update Live

With FIFA Manager 13 announced and “that time of year” coming around fast, the last database update that FIFA Manager 12 will ever see has been released.

The update contains over 20,000 changes which include player transfers, loans and of course a lot of balancing of player attributes. 323 new players have also been added taking the overall player database to an eye watering 40,736 players. Here’s an example of how the Premier League has changed after the database update.

Fifa Manager will never beat Football Manager, this is pointless and way too ambitious of the company to even put effort in. And for the record, the average best 11 is definitly messed up, they’ve clearly got it all wrong ”/. Sorry to be a pain, but only the hardcore fans of the Fifa series are the audience here (the ones who see the Fifa games as perfect).

  • Filipe

Seconded. Why they don’t drop it entirely and have that team focus on FIFA game modes, particularly CM, is beyond me.

  • Jeff

Why even show that table. It’s still completely wrong. Neither of the top two teams won the title and none of the bottom three were relegated.

Fifa Manager isnt developed in house by EA SPORTS. Its produced by a developer called Bright Future in Germany where this game sells very well.

It takes no resources from the console version of FIFA and that includes Career Mode. Its a totally separate game.

  • Filipe

I didn’t say it took resources, what I meant is those resources would be better put to use in the FIFA franchise. FIFA is largely considered as the best football simulator in the world; I have my doubts anyone considers FIFA Manager as the best managing simulator, even in Germany. I’m not trying to advise EA on business moves, it’s just my opinion.

  • Sanvir

Surely EA will have moved part of their production team into that company, but except for having the word Fifa in it, I don’t really see why you’s post news about it than. And yeh, the only places it will problies sell well in, will the be the spots where Football Manager won’t have national licensing in (such as Germany).

  • David Bryant

    @Sanvir if you aren’t interested don’t read/comment. Simple.

  • Sanvir

But I am interested in the reasons why this game is made. Just because I critisise mate doesn’t mean I’m not allowed to my own opinion or that I’m not curious about it. In fact, I’ve took on more important information from what you’ve replied with than the article itself.

  • David

Can you guys make a full review of FIFA Manager when its out please? Would appreciate it. Thanks for the info.

  • Sanvir

I see what you’ve done their haha :p, it’s okay man lol

  • tal

why it say that hazard signed whith manchester city?

Fact is, people are more than happy to play CoD even though that’s not realistic in the slightest, yet when it comes to Fifa Manager everything must be an imitation.

Both Football Manager and Fifa Manager have individual strengths and weaknesses and both cater for a somewhat different market and offer individual styles of gameplay.

I’ll have to be a lone wolf here and defend Fifa as a top, top game.
It’s a more pick-up and play sim than it’s rival and does what it intends to do well.

Let’s try not to shoot a game down in flames for what it doesn’t even attempt to do, rather than look at what it offers and how it performs.
