gamescom – EA Press Conference

gamescom 2012 is upon us and it all starts today (14th) with the EA Media Briefing at 4pm local time (3pm UK, 10am ET, 7am PT) where we’ll get to see FIFA 13 in action.

The EA Media Briefing is being live streamed at EA.com so you guys won’t miss a thing but based on the last couple of years FIFA normally ends up last in the EA line-up, so you’ll probably have to sit through details of the next Sims expansion first.

gamescom proper then starts on Wednesday 15th with the show floor open to the press before the general public get their hands on the games a day later on Thursday 16th. That’s when we’ll get our first “shakey cam” footage of live FIFA gameplay, which we know you guys love to dissect.

gamescom then closes its doors on August 19th, when our attention will then shift to the FIFA 13 demo and full retail release.

It’s going to be a big week, and we’ll have full coverage on FSB – EA Press Conf Stream

the gamescon live event link works exactly like fifa, lag, delay, micro pause sound sync

  • Tom Mills

    @Mak mines fine.

I refreshed the page, working perfectly now. So….exactly like every EA recommendation for fixing a FIFA session.

The Need for Speed demonstration was really sick. I know this is off topic, but I am a big fan of the racing series Burnout, which was created by Criterion. And what do ya know! Criterion has creative control over Need for Speed: Most Wanted is almost exactly like Burnout! well in terms of functionality, but has much better graphics (being a few years down the dev cycle. Anybody who has played a Burnout game or likes seeing an awesome developer rewarded for a job well done should check out Need for Speed: Most Wanted.

As the press conference is continuing, I am not interested with The Simpsons.

    Saved formation and lineups. Finally.

    @ Mak

Buy some decent Broadband and the video link and Fifa will work great!

  • Neerander

well, that was pointless, no clubs news again, well done EA

  • Douglas Selby

I’m glad that Match Day will be included in the demo, as I still have no idea what it really is. I’m very excited, and satisfied with the extra features that the team at EA Sports has added. It seems like they are doing more to actually flesh out the experiences over long bouts of play. I’d hope that the audio commentary gets some more variety and whatnot (so that 15 seasons in career mode is not such a drain). also, hopefully I will not fall out of FUT as quickly as I did this year, but I’m excited for the new Football Club bonuses as well. Woohoo! wow that was way too positive.

  • Douglas Selby

@Neerander theres more Clubs info going on at ea’s twitter, ummm https://twitter.com/EASPORTSFIFA

@douglas thanks mate, I was a bit quick off the mark but after last year when they basically ignored the mode I don’t think anyone can blame me. I saw the lastest news looks good, I’m surprised they got around to addressing so much of what holds clubs back and hopefully we can have a good year and draw more people to the mode because it’s still in my opinion the best mode fifa has.
