Newcastle United Renew EA SPORTS Partnership

Hot on the heels of the recent Tottenham annoucement comes the news that Newcastle United have renewed their EA SPORTS partnership for another two years.

This means that geordies everywhere can look forward to a custom FIFA 13 cover, a Pro Player Tournament at the training ground, the EA SPORTS Dugout will of course pay a visit to St Jame’s Park and there may even be a fans tournament hosted at Shearer’s Bar.

Here’s Dan Holman, EA SPORTS’ Head of UK Product Marketing, on the deal:

“We’re delighted to be renewing our partnership with Newcastle United.  We look forward to building on last year’s success by developing a wide range of initiatives that fully engage and excite the supporters throughout the 2012/13 season.”

Good news obviously, but personally I think this program needs to go global. Agree?

I’m surprised Liverpool haven’t gotten a EA Sports partnership yet. Not because they deserve it or something like that, I just thought EA would have done it already seeing how many fans the club has around the world, and seen it as an opportunity.

Every partnership that EA gets, they also get a few PES players to buy FIFA. Simply because the team they support has cool stuff like realistic player faces, custom game covers etc etc.. Not really the older players, but certainly the children and teens.

    Just a thought..
