No Online Play For FIFA12 3DS

According to Matt Prior, Producer for FIFA12 3DS, the title will not be featuring online play as previously stated.

In a rather sad about turn on the initial news release, they also won’t be supporting “StreetPass, SpotPass, or the majority of 3DS-exclusive features” either.

Prior has said that he hopes future iterations will make use of those features.

I personally find it slightly frustrating, local multiplayer is fine, but also very restricting. I haven’t really been able to make use of it on the iPhone, and I must admit FIFA12 with online multiplayer on a handheld was very appealing to me.

Oh well. There’s always next year…
