Podcast 04 – Back From Canada

God I miss that view…

So we’re back. As you may have noticed the site has been splattered with news from our trip and so after we’d settled back in a bit we sat down with our duty free booze to chat about what we learned.

As with anything we do that doesn’t involve words on a page, it screwed up a bit and we lost the last ten minutes or so of audio. Mostly just us wrapping up really, the bulk of it is still there.

    Thanks for all the information over the last week.

    From your time with the game – in career mode do the AI teams have different playing styles?

    Eg. Does the AI behave differently depending on home/away games? Do teams like Stoke play to their strengths or is the AI still generic across all teams?

    If the playing styles are the same again – I can’t help but feel career mode will become boring again very quickly (despite all the other tweaks that have been mentioned).

    Gameplay is fundamental.

    Im sorry but who the hell has the money or space to have 3 big screens all linked up to a pc that is powerful aswell. Get real there is no future for PC gaming let alone FIFA.

    If you like playing robot football buy PES. The mechanics in PES are terrible and have been for years…

    You mentioned in your Career Mode preview article that you’re able to customize what your manager will look like at the start of CM. How indepth are the variables, do you get to see your manager on the touchline and how animated does he get?

    Also, are there actually gonna be real life managers in FIFA 13, if so is it for every club?

    Daniel, the mechanics in PES are shit, but gameplay is pure football, the mechanics in FIFA are superb but the gameplay is just a shame…boring and so not football like…I would say football but american football! ahahahah

    Tom,sorry to keep asking questions,but is there gonna be any more cm features coming out.Also does the player stories affect performance on the pitch,so e,g if your star player is unsettled,himk and your team play shit.Also is the atmosphere better,and 1 more question (sorry) is is the commentary mproved and do they now not talk about random stories about the history of the club etc.Thanks :)

    Been playing the pes demo alot. Game seems very average and reminds me a lot of codemasters club football. The funny thing is people actually think its the best football game to date lol
