Podcast 05 – gamescom and Innuendo

 

A little bit of a role reversal this time round as Dave does his best to stray off topic and I’m the one trying to bring him back onto the agenda. Welcome to topsy turvy world.

We discuss the gamescom announcements, the latest trailer, trolling and Dave winds me up endlessly about a certain transfer. Being an Arsenal fan I rarely wish for broken legs, but he forced my hand.

    @Ham I guess that’s a fair point. Not much EA can do to fix people playing hat way short of putting in a punishing fatigue model.

    Funny thing is, I don’t play online all that much, but when i do i never seem to play against these types of players. Maybe because i use 3* and below teams.

    I have a question.

    Do you guys have any idea if they will(have) implement(ed) the new 12 subs ruling in the Italian league?

    Starting this year teams in the Serie A have to list a 23-man squad, so they get 12 bench players instead of 7.

    About that counter attackfest comment.. What game do you play? This is all I saw during the FWIC, Teams making custom formations to play with 4 strikers an the rest playing defense. It’s always been about counter attacks an it will always remain this way until Ea makes real stamina system. I highly doubt players can do full sprints the whole game with each possession their team gets.
    Playing soccer(football) I’m all about my pace but I can only full out, hard as i can, sprint maybe 5 times a game before I need to either be taken out or not run much for a good 3-4 mins. But even than I’m never the same.

    Although as much as it’s annoying we have to assume EA will get it right. They might not. What would be more annoying a stamina system that’s too hard or too soft?
