Podcast: Best. FIFA12. Podcast. Ever.

Carlsberg don’t do podcasts…

This week takes a deviation from the standard podcast format. We sat down this morning and discussed our recent trip to play FIFA12 at length. With Adam and Suff.

I haven’t done much editing on this one because A) We wanted to get it up as quickly as possible, and B) I didn’t need to, these guys are podcast pros.

Probably best to grab a beer or something. It’s nearly two hours.

This is my first time on the site and I enjoyed this very much. It has never crossed my mind before how gaming press highlight strong points but not negative ones, and so I thank you guys for testing the game and giving us a better insight as to what we can expect come September. Oh and EA, don’t forget to look at the A.I and make it good because it sounds bad at the moment.

does precision dribbling work when your goin at a high pace??

So glad you mentioned the AI. Nobody ever does and EA have been getting away with it. It is so bad. The defensive and attacking AI is poor for a game 2 years after the Great Fifa 09.

Totally agree about AI, especially on attacking AI ( I am talking about your teammate AI). It is horrible on overlap running in general. I am focusing on general gemeplay herer to discuss. Your teammates don’t create space by running and pulling nearby defenders. Also I want to point out in FIFA 11′s the way defenders mark opponent players- they just go right behind them no matter what angles they are positioning from the goal. This is very frustrating and irritating. Yes you can learn not to press too much “pressure” button to avoid this (i guess FIFA 12 defenders behavior will be like). But EA seems to program defenders like that. Also when you are on at taking and lose your ball possession, your player gets pulled back to a programmed position like as he was attached to a huge rubber band. Horrible. Cannot go fight back the ball possession – the cursor switched to someone else. To me, there is too much bad programming in critical areas ( or too less on attacking AI) so that this potentially excellent football sim game becomes disappointing year after another.

I fully agree on everything you guys have spoke about, me and my mate are going to do a similar one about FIFA11. Check my FIFA 11 review on my blog below! Keep up the work guys!
