One of the biggest complaints this year (outside of the list of Manager Mode issues) is that FIFA 10’s commentary can be a bit random. There’s a few outdated lines, such as references to Martin Jol managing Tottenham, and a few weird bugs (if the ball rebounds off an adboard and hits the post then the commentator will jump out of their seat and scream that “IT’S HIT THE POST”).
Well, some good news to report. As you can see in this thread, over on the official EA FIFA next-gen forums, a free DLC commentary patch is on the way. Hurrah!
Cue much rejoicing from FIFA fans apart from a distinct bunch of nerds at the back wearing “when will you fix Manager Mode” t-shirts (now available for £12.99 from FIFASoccerBlog – just kidding, our legal department advises us that it’s not a good idea).

During the EA press conference at Gamescom this afternoon a few people got the impression that the Bernabeu stadium which was announced would be premium content – i.e. downloadable content that you pay for.
Producer of FIFA 10 David Rutter has announced on his Twitter page that the Bernabeu stadium will be free for everybody to download. Take a look at the quote below for confirmation!
Oh yeah. I nearly forgot. We announced the Bernabeu will be DLC (free) in FIFA 10…

An announcement by the EA Football Live team via their Twitter page on Friday unveiled the news that 3 new players had been dropped into the Ultimate Team mode.
3 new players released in 4 hours!
Let the hunt begin!
It will be interesting to see which players have been added to the mode. The FSB crew have already identified one of them being an International Soccer Star who has been in the headlines a lot this year. Wonder if you can guess the rest… Hit the forums and let us know!

Fresh off the press (well airwaves), we’ve just got news via the official FIFA 09 podcast – presented by Steve and Rom – that FIFA 09 will be getting kit updates for a select number of teams. Thanks to EA’s close relationship with Adidas, five teams that the kit maker sponsors will be having their kit(s) updated to the 2009/2010 season variants.
The teams are: Liverpool, Chelsea, Newcastle United, Bayern Munich and Marseille.
Currently the release date for the update hasn’t been confirmed for PSN users, but Rom confirmed Xbox Live Gold members will have the opportunity to download it May 28th, with Silver members having to wait a week later.
As soon as EA confirm an official release date for PSN users we’ll let you know. Cheers to Rom for the heads up!
