FIFA’s new UK community manager has uploaded some new videos to his YouTube page.
One of them is the attacking tutorial video we’ve seen previously, but the other two are featured above. There is a Virtual Pro trailer and a Live Season 2.0 / My Live Season trailer. Take a look (and big thanks to EA for the heads-up)!

So, the big announcements have been made.
Firstly, and most importantly, Live Season 2.0 has been revealed. Basically, it’s an offline version of Interactive Leagues, where you play your team’s real fixtures in a league populated by the real-life results week by week. For more details, click here.
Secondly, there are some new FIWC details (that’s the FIFA Interactive World Cup that you can enter exclusively on the PS3 version of the game), as well as a few more insights into extra tweaks. Check out Mike Takla’s comments from the EA forums below:
We’ve not changed FIWC dramatically this year but we’ve done a few things. A couple of those are we’ve removed the lobbies (so it’s quick match only) and maybe the bigger news is we’ve levelled all the teams – so whoever you play with it’s all even. [...] With no lobbies there are no arranged matches (boosting) and we have diminishing returns so if people do somehow arrange fixtures they won’t get points against the same player.
Ronaldo does a stutter PK, you can choose your favourite arena as your default, there’s loads of tutorial videos, we have a new arena messaging feature that’ll give you the latest news (including top players on the leaderboards) and team managment scrolling is faster!
Happy with the news? Disappointed? Confused? EA are asking for feedback on the Live Season 2.0 features, which you can provide using this thread on the EA forums here.

It’s hard to believe that this will be the last edition of the FSB podcast before the FIFA 10 demo is released. It feels like it’s been forever, and what’s worse is that while there’s only 4 days to go until we can all play FIFA 10, there’s still 26 days until we can play the full game (44 days if you live in the US or Canada).
In this podcast episode I speak to dave797 of the EA forums about his experience of FIFA 10 down at the Emirates (including his thoughts on player individuality being better this year), as well as what he thinks of the latest Manager Mode screenshots and also the “ping-pong passing” that appears in the Gamescom videos.
As always, hit the forums and let us know your thoughts on this podcast’s topic in the podcast thread – and remember you can download our podcasts via iTunes using the keyword FIFA SOCCER BLOG!

The latest Official PlayStation Magazine (UK) has revealed some snippets of FIFA 10 information we didn’t know before today, including two interesting quotes about Live Season 2.0 and the Ultimate Team mode.
On Live Season 2.0, they had this to say:
Other bits we’ll only be able to test properly when the game is released, like the updated Live Season in which you can replay your team’s weekly fixtures and compare your results to the real thing
Sounds like an updated Interactive Leagues mode to me!
Also confirmed was that Ultimate Team will be available at some point, again as premium DLC:
Taking a cue from the ace Ultimate Team DLC (continued in FIFA 10, but again as premium content)

Huge thanks to Pr0xQuist from our forums for spotting this one.
According to his thread here, some Live Season 2.0 information can be found in the Multiplayer.it gameplay video posted yesterday.
The following German quote appears in the game:
Live Season liefert dir die reale wöchentliche Form und bietet dir jetzt mit dem neuen Spielmodus My Live Season auch die Möglichkeit, den Lauf der Geschichte zu änderen!
A rough translation is the following (if any native German speakers would like to offer any refinements to this translation please do!):
Live Season updates the form of the players every week and with the new feature My Live Season, you can change the course of history!
Intriguing eh?
