As I sat down and prepared to write my impressions of my brief play through of the new FIFA World Cup game, I was made aware of the new producer blog written by the main man Simon Humber. If you haven’t read the lengthy, informative article, I suggest to race over there before reading any further! (click here to view)
Now, you may be thinking that Mr Humber would hype his own game to the Nth degree, but let me assure you, there is definitely substance to his words. The game has taken some very encouraging and bold steps from what was seen in Fifa 10.

First thing’s first – I love the FIFA 10 demo. In my opinion it’s the best football game I’ve ever played, and when playing with friends it’s the best multiplayer experience I’ve ever had.
Secondly, and most importantly – all of the opinions within this podcast are based on the demo, which is not representative of the retail version of the game. Remember that!
Now that that’s out of the way I can explain the idea behind this podcast; I think we can all agree that constructive criticism is a wonderful thing and that feedback is essential.
All throughout the period of our Emirates playtest we were waxing lyrical about how good FIFA 10 is, but with three hours of play under our belts there wasn’t much time to look out for the things that could use improvement. So in a change from our normal 60 minutes of glee and excitement, here is a 25 minute podcast dedicated to the things I want to see changed in the final version of the game, and/or via patches. EA, I hope you’re listening!
(Oh, and the PES 2010 demo gets a mention as well.)

The lovely people at ComputerAndVideoGames.com have posted a little preview of FIFA 10, and it’s another good one! Just two more days until the demo is released now if you’re lucky enough to live in Europe!
This one was spotted by Nanny on the forums. A round of applause please for the man who’s spotted some FIFA news more often than he’s blinked in these past few days.

It’s hard to believe that this will be the last edition of the FSB podcast before the FIFA 10 demo is released. It feels like it’s been forever, and what’s worse is that while there’s only 4 days to go until we can all play FIFA 10, there’s still 26 days until we can play the full game (44 days if you live in the US or Canada).
In this podcast episode I speak to dave797 of the EA forums about his experience of FIFA 10 down at the Emirates (including his thoughts on player individuality being better this year), as well as what he thinks of the latest Manager Mode screenshots and also the “ping-pong passing” that appears in the Gamescom videos.

The guys at Channelbee.com have uploaded the above clip of their FIFA 10 video preview from a few days ago (see a few posts below to watch the video in full).
“You’ve already posted this” I hear you cry; but the video above has a larger section showing the gameplay footage, and not only that, you can watch it in HD if you open the video in a new window (double-click the centre of the video above).
You can see much more clearly how the ball takes a lower path towards the goal, and how it has a lot more OOMPH behind it (for want of a better word). Check it out!
Thanks to Nanny from the forums for pointing this one out to us.
