In the real world the January Transfer Window is open and already some big name players have changed clubs. As always the main FIFA 12 database will get its roster update once the window has closed, however that’s not the case for FIFA 12 Ultimate Team, as the first batch of transfers are being readied for release tonight at 6pm GMT.

The first batch of January Transfers contains some fairly high profile names and Arsenal fans are sure to be pleased with the inclusion of a certain French, god-like figure.

FIFA Manager 11 Releases Update 3

It’s been just a few weeks since FIFA 11′s transfer update was released and now fans of FIFA Manager 11 have exactly the same thing on offer. FIFA Manager 11 Update 3 is available now and can be downloaded directly from the FIFA Manager 11 website HERE or via the in-game updater located in the main menu.

“The whole FIFA MANAGER database is updated, including more than 2.200 winter transfers from all 46 licensed leagues are part of this update. Player levels have been adjusted based on the real performances of the first half of the season. Besides the more than 2,000 transfers more than 900 loans were implemented, 500 new player pictures were added and 150 new XXL player pictures bring even more realism to the virtual managers at home.”

Impressive stuff. One thing to bear in mind is that to utilise this transfer update you will need to start a new FIFA Manager 11 game save. Existing game saves will still work but will not have the new transfers, player photos etc.

FIFA 11 Roster Update OUT NOW!

The FIFA11 Roster Update which takes in each and every move from January’s spectacular transfer window is available on the PS3 and Xbox360 NOW! I’ve just downloaded it myself.

To download the latest squad file load up FIFA11 and navigate to:

My FIFA 11 > Edit Teams > Squads > Download Updates

We’re expecting the FIFA 11 PC Roster Update to happen a little later but we’ll keep you updated in this post. If you can’t download the update yet then don’t panic, it takes a while to replicate across all EA regions and servers.

Finally we have confirmation. The in-game FIFA11 roster update will be released on Wednesday February 23rd dropping some of the biggest January transfers in the history of football in to the game. Sunday’s match between Chelsea and Liverpool will be huge but if you fancy a sneak peak at what the Premier Leagues most expensive player will look like in Chelsea blue then take a look at this video from EASPORTS.

The Best Deadline Day Ever?

Well it’s been quite a day folks, the final moments of the January transfer window have been in a word, mental. Money has been thrown around like it’s going out of fashion, with 50 million on Torres, 35 million on Carroll, 23 million on Suarez, 21 million for Luiz and more loan deals than you can shake a stick at.

But whilst supporters around the country get used to the major overhauls at their own clubs you can be sure that today’s transfer madness will be felt in the FIFA world too, especially online.

Going on previous experience we can expect FIFA11′s transfer update to happen in the next 2-3 weeks but how will it effect FIFA11 once it hits?

Will Drogba and Torres turn out to be unstoppable for Chelsea? Or will Carroll and Suarez be the new killer duo? And who do you think deserves a well earned stats boost? Bale, Wilshere, Rafael, Adam, Van Der Vaart?

It’s been quite a day, let us know your thoughts.

FIFA 10 Transfer Update Coming Feb 24th

EA have just popped this up on their Facebook page:

Official announcement: The transfer update for FIFA10 will occur on Wednesday, February 24th 2010 for both the XBOX360 and PS3 consoles

As far as we know this is just a squad update, rather than any other fixes/updates. We’ll let you know if we hear different.

January Transfer Window Update Confirmed

Just in-case you were wondering if there would be a January transfer window update for FIFA this year, as there has been for the last few years now, this has been confirmed (thanks to Romily Broad’s Twitter tweet for making us aware of the EA SPORTS FIFA Facebook post, all that’s needed is a Peter Moore MySpace status update to complete the social networking circle):

Because so many have asked, we can confirm there will be a downloadable roster update for FIFA 10 after the January transfer window has closed. Fear not. We’ll update you on that as soon as we’ve fixed a date.

Don’t expect any gameplay tweaks though – this is purely a roster update. Thanks again to Alexrstone for the heads-up.
