The FIFA Street Network – Details & Screens
FIFA Facebook?
With yesterdays release date announcement, details on the all new FIFA Street Network were a little scarce. However that’s all change as we have more details and more screens showing just how the “social interaction” will be presented in-game.
Here’s are the relevant bits from the press release:
“Through the Street Network, players will be able to capture video of their best tricks and share them in-game with friends, showing off their personal favorites and embarrassing their opponents. In addition, friends will be able to track and compare each other’s progress throughout the game, including World Tour story mode and Head-to-Head Online Seasons, and follow each other’s status in EA SPORTS Football Club.
“Street football is all about the one-on-one battle, when you pull off a trick to roast your opponent,” said producer Sid Misra. “The Street Network brings that real-world swagger into the game by enabling players to capture video of those moments and share them with everyone in their street network to see, and providing friends with a way to compare each other throughout the game.”
The Street Network will enrich the World Tour story mode, where gamers create a team of friends and compete in a connected world against other FIFA Street gamers’ teams. Players will be able to follow each other’s status as they build their squads, unlock new tricks, and progress through the story of their journey to street football glory. Players will be able to share and compare progress with friends directly in the Street Network and it will also broadcast in-game videos like “Goals of the Week”, and alert friends to each other’s accomplishments throughout the game.”

Rob says:
If the replay is base on FIFA 12 then its so dead. That thing need revamps really bad. Why no Youtube option?
Toby Ross says:
Well Rob, it looks to me like it works through the game not a web portal, so that’s a big improvement straight off.
Mike Astuto says:
You guys are def making me want to buy this game. Any idea what the retail cost is going to be? Any chance it will be cheaper than the standard $59.99 US Dollars?
David Bryant says:
@Rob no YouTube upload does seem a bit odd I agree but as Toby said at least it’s all integrated in game now and not sending you off to Football World to comment, like, view etc.
Also agree that the quality will be hugely important. If it’s just FIFA 12′s, 11 second, low res, stuff I will be extremely disappointed.
Rodriguez says:
off topic: is there any commentary in the game?
David Bryant says:
@Rodriguez there’s no commentary, which is a really good thing. Instead you get the crowd noise, voices of the players on the pitch and the awesome sound effects.
It’s really refreshing actually and the games audio in general was one of our favourite bits
jon says:
I hope ea re think their whole replay system. Allow us to slow down or speed up, and allow us a free motion camera with hieght settings!
Mr.SoCcErDuDe says:
When will the First gameplay video come out ?
Also when will the demo be released?
Rodriguez says:
sounds good! do you hear the crowd going like: Ohhw! when you panna your opponent? :P
and any news about footage release?
I Love Sock says:
Is it possible that this game is good because it’s more acardey and more fun than Fifa 12 which has seen the series turn into a sim snoozefest?
Luke Davison says:
Will there be a demo for fifa street on the playstation 3? and what players will be in the game? (Liverpool plz)
David Bryant says:
There will be a demo 100% yes as it’s going to be really important for everyone to try FIFA Street for the new gameplay, feel, match types everything about it tbh.
The only problem is a demo date is still tbc but you can bet your bottom dollar on 2-3 weeks before release.
James Burton says:
I presume you will actually be able to play with/against friends online and off?

Will there be online ‘be a pro’ type matches where you and a few friends can each control one player each and play against other people?
