This afternoon EA SPORTS have announced an official partnership with the English Premier League, as you can see in the rather dashing photo of Peter Moore and David Scudamore.
EA SPORTS will be the “Official Sports Technology Partner” of the Premier League in a deal which will include an EA Sports Player Performance Index, an EA Sports Team of the Week, Barclays Premier League broadcast branding and Barclays Premier League match broadcast enhancements.
“EA SPORTS will have direct access to the Player Performance Index to further extend the authenticity and depth of its football franchises including EA SPORTS FIFA in future versions.”
A promising development for Fifa fans everywhere I’m sure you’ll agree.
Full press release and details after the jump.

Or should I say ‘Official’ lift off.
ivan1real has posted up a glut of information on the boards, including a (translated) press release announcing the key features of the PC version.
It’s clear to see that while the game is a big step up from last years game, it’s still not quite in line with the console versions this year. A stepping stone methinks.
Along with the screenshots released yesterday (see previous post), you’ll find the press release, previews and a video interview with lead producer Ian Jarvis by clicking here.

As the newest member of the Fifa Soccer Blog team I feel its only polite if I introduce myself. My name is David Bryant or as most will know me from the forums Dave797, I’m a huge follower of the Fifa series and I’m delighted to have joined up with FSB to bring you guys the best possible Fifa coverage. I’d also like to extend a big thank you to the whole FSB team and community who have been very welcoming in my brief time on board.
Now that the pleasantries are out of the way, let’s get on to the good stuff. Today marks the beginning of a brand new FSB article series taking in all aspects of Fifa and the community. From in depth looks at the latest features to brand new ideas, this series intends to cover it all and as this is the maiden outing I think it’s only fair that I kick things off.
After getting my hands on Fifa11 at the latest Guildford play test I wanted to focus in on one of EA’s newest and most important game play features, Pro Passing. Does it work, what are its effects, has it destroyed ping-pong?
